THE STRUGGLE & THE HOPE: BALIโS FISHERMEN TODAY ๐ถ๐๐
For centuries, Balinese fishermen lived peacefully from the sea, passing down traditions from generation to generation. But today, our reality has changed drastically. Due to climate change, pollution, rising fuel costs, and fewer fish in the ocean, the economy and life of traditional fishermen in Bali are declining fast. ๐โ๏ธ๐โ
What used to be a stable, honorable job that fed the whole family, now requires working 12โ16 hours, sailing far out into dangerous open sea, often earning barely enough for daily food. Many young fishermen are forced to leave the sea to find other work, risking the loss of our culture forever. ๐ง๐ผ๐ซ๐ถ
But we fight to keep our heritage alive. โ๐๐งก
At Jukung Fishing Trip, we are real local fishermen doing what we love and what we were born to do. Every trip you book with us is not just a tourโit is direct support for our livelihood, our families, and our ancient culture. ๐คโจ๐ซถ
Your choice to sail with us keeps our traditional Jukung boats floating, keeps our children in school, and keeps the authentic soul of Bali breathing. Thank you for helping us survive, grow, and share our beautiful sea with you. ๐ถ๐ฃ๐๐โค๏ธ
